Project Arnprior Welcome : Support a Syrian Refugee Family
Dear Friends and Family,
This past few months has shown a tremendous outpouring of good will in Canada and around the world towards the millions of refugees in the Middle East. It is difficult to imagine what these refugees have been and continue to go through, where they eke out a meager existence day by day just to survive.
Project Arnprior Welcome is a group of compassionate individuals who have come together to sponsor a Syrian refugee family and help them settle in Arnprior, Ontario. This family will have a chance to make plans for their future, for the first time in years. We hope to support them for a year – time to enroll in school, learn some English, recover their health, find work, etc. Our job is to provide refuge, a start on a new life, and hope for a future.
To this end, we are asking for your support to reach our goal of raising $20,000 which will help our family meet the many challenges of resettlement, including basic needs for housing, food, clothing, transportation and ESL (English as a second language). These debts can be an undue hardship for people who have suffered enough.
We ask you to donate as you are able.
Tax receipts will be provided for donations over $20.
